CMC Vellore Entrance Exam Eligibility criteria
Age Criteria
Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete the said age on or before 31 December 2018
Maximum Age Limit
- AHS Degree Course: 40 years
- B.Sc Nursing: 30 years (35 years for SC/ST)
Academic Qualification
Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary period of 12 years of study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English.
- Improvement marks of Class 12 will not be considered.
- Candidates should have passed in English.
Educational Qualification
All the candidates have to follow the given below educational qualification given below for each of the courses. The above-given age criteria and Academic Qualification is common to all courses.

*Calculation of Aggregate Marks for
- Example: If a candidate has 72% in Biology, 66% in Chemistry and 70% in Physics,
then the aggregate works out to: {72 + (66 +70)/2} or {72 + 68} out of 200, i.e. 140/200 and is eligible.
- Candidates should have passed in all subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent examination in one and the same attempt in the subjects.
Educational Qualification for B.Sc Nursing
- Only unmarried women candidates are eligible for B.Sc Nursing Course at CMC Vellore.
- Candidates should have passed Class 12 with 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The candidate should have passed in English.
Educational Qualification for BOT
- Candidates should have a pass in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology pass mark as 35% each in Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Botany & Zoology
Educational Qualification for BPT
- Candidates should have a minimum pass mark as 35% each in Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Botany & Zoology.
Educational Qualification for all other Allied Sciences Courses
- Candidates should have a pass in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
CMC Vellore Entrance Exam Application form and Admit Card
The application process has started. The candidates can apply for the courses of Group A and Group B at CMC Vellore. There is no offline application process. Each of the candidates can apply a maximum of 7 Courses at a time of registration. Candidates can either apply in the sponsored category or through the open category.
The last date to fill the form is 26 March 2018. As per the notification of UGC, the admission in MBBS/ BDS course will be done through NEET. However, for the other courses, there would be an entrance exam. All the students have to fill the form

Payment of CMC Application Fee
- ICICI Bank Challan: The fees can also be paid through bank challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India.Please mention FC-CMC-V on the bank challan and the Original Bank Challan has to be sent to CMC Vellore office.
- Online Payment: Online Payment can be made using Credit/Debit Card. The students should use only his/her or parent/guardian's debit/credit card for making the payment of the application form fees.
Submission of the CMC Vellore Application Form 2018
CMC Vellore Application Form for the UG Courses Admission to MBBS/BSc Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Courses is to be submitted in online mode only. The candidates after filling up the application form are suggested to recheck the entire information filled by them in the application form only to make sure they do not have filled the wrong information mistakenly. At last, the candidates have to submit the application form.
The candidates are suggested to keep at least two printouts with them for future reference. However, if any of the candidates paying the fee through ICICI Challan. Then they have to send the proof of payment (ICICI challan payment) and all the other required enclosure where applicable to the address given below:

CMC Vellore Entrance Exam Result and Counselling
The admission in the MBBS course will be done based on NEET score. However, for the admission in BSc Nursing and AHS course, there is a criteria decided by the College. Selection of the students for the BSc Nursing and AHS Course will be done in two stages. Both the stages are well described below:
- Stage 1 - The candidates will undergo aptitude test. It will be a computer-based test which will be conducted in the English language in All India Basis.
- Stage 2 - The candidates who get shortlisted in the first stage will be called for Stage 2. In the second stage, there would be a special test to judge the candidates' character and aptitude.

CMC Vellore Stage 2: Special Test and Interviews
- Students who qualify stage 1 of CMC Vellore Admission Test will move to Stage 2 and it will be held in Vellore.
- In this stage, a special Test for short-listed candidates will be conducted to assess the candidate’s character and aptitude. Interviews will also form part of assessment at this stage.
- During the process, the aptitude of the candidate for the healing ministry, willingness to serve in remote mission hospitals and a sense of compassion for the suffering will be assessed.
- At this stage, the students have to produce original certificates for verification.
For Christian students in Stage 2
- Christian students under sponsored category who have qualified stage 1 and moved to stage 2 will have to undergo A written test in Bible Knowledge. It will be a part of the tests at Vellore consisting of 50 Multiple Choice Questions.
- Admission to the programme for the year is subject to being certified medically fit by the Medical board of Christian Medical College, Vellore.

Stage 1- Computer Based Test
- It will be a computer-based test and students will be provided sheets for rough work purpose.
- While answering the computer-based question paper, the student will have the option of Marking the Questions for review later
- The entrance test will consist of multiple-choice questions in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Ability with emphasis on Speed and Accuracy.
- A few questions on issues of current topical interest.
- The test will be conducted in ENGLISH.
- Each Question will have five options to choose from and correct answers will be given one mark and there will be no negative marking.
- The unique thing in Marking: The students will be given 1/5th of the marks that is 0.2 marks per question for the questions not attempted by the student.
