About Goa Medical
Goa MBBS/BDS Admission 2018 is done by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa. On 2 July 2018, the authority has released Goa MBBS merit list which is provided on this page. Only aspirants who have registered successfully for Goa MBBS/BDS admission 2018 are included in the merit list. Goa MBBS 2018 merit list is prepared on the basis of NEET scores. Based on the Goa MBBS state merit rank, the authority will conduct the counselling of Goa MBBS admission. The result of seat allotment will be announced in the first week of July 2018. Goa MBBS/BDS counselling is done on the basis of merit rank, preferences of course as well as colleges and seats available. Based on Goa MBBS 2018 admission, candidates will be allotted seats to 150 MBBS and 40 BDS seats offered by medical and dental colleges of the state. Goa MBBS/BDS Admission 2018 will be conducted for admission to the following courses:
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
- BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
- BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
- BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
- AHS (Allied Health Science)
- Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing)
The admission to Allied Health Science and BSc Nursing will be conducted on the basis of NEET. However, the admissions to the MBBS/BDS/BAMS and BHMS are already accepted on the basis of NEET Exam since 2017. Goa MBBS Merit List 2018
Goa MBBS merit list has been released on 2 July based on the scores of NEET. Goa MBBS displays the name, class 12 scores, NEET scores, eligibility and remarks. Students included in Goa MBBS 2018 merit list will be called for Goa MBBS counselling session, which will commence from 4 July 2018. Complete Details on NEET 2018 Exam
Goa Medical Eligibility criteria
Age Criteria: The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31 December of the academic year.
Academic Qualification: The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Class 12 examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other equivalent examination.
- Should have studied English as a compulsory subject with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Should have secured minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together.
- The candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC category are required to score 40% aggregate marks and 45% in case of PH category (for MBBS and BDS course).
- For B.Sc. Nursing, candidates must have secured 45% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together for General category (40% aggregate for SC/ST and OBC)
Qualifying Exam: Candidates appearing for the admission to the Medical courses across the state of Goa must have a scorecard of NEET 2018 Exam, It is mandatory to appear in the NEET Exam 2018 for the admission to MBBS/ BDS/ BHMS/ BAMS/ AHS and Nursing.
- General - 50 percentile
- SC/ST/OBC - 40 percentile
- General PH - 45 percentile
- SC/ST/OBC PH - 40 percentile

Candidates desirous of seeking admissions to Professional Medical Degree courses during the academic session 2018-19 are required to fill and submit the application form given below. Candidates must note that the admissions to the 15% Seats will be based on NEET counselling. However, the admissions to the remaining courses will be based on Institutional Counselling.

Goa Medical Result and Counselling
The candidates will be shortlisted based on their NEET 2018 Scores, and a merit list of the candidates will be prepared. The candidates have to reach the counselling venue.
Goa Medical and Dental Selection Process will be conducted for the 6 prime courses in which the admission are offered on the NEET Scores i.e.

Goa Medical Exam pattern
NEET 2018 will be conducted in pen and paper mode only and the total duration of the exam will be 3 Hours.
- Marking Scheme: Four Marks will be awarded for each correct response. There is Negative marking in NEET 2018 exam and one mark will be deducted from the total score for every wrong answer.
- Medium of Exam: NEET 2018 will be conducted in 11 languages that are Hindi, English, Bengali, Assamese, Oriya, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telegu, Ordu and Kannada.
- Number of Questions: There will be a total of 180 questions from all the subjects given in the table below:
