EFLU Admission 2018 to Mass Comm & Journalism is based on entrance examination conducted by EFLU University. The Shillong Campus of EFLU university offers admission in BA Mass Comm & Journalism and English (H). The English & Foreign  Language University (EFLU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament. It was established in 1972 and had been known as Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages earlier and became a central university in 2007. The entrance exam of EFLU Admission 2018 to Mass Comm & Journalism will be held on "25 February 2018".

• Passed Class 12 or equivalent: Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks. (45% marks for SC/ST) with English as one of the subjects.
• Appearing in Class 12 or Equivalent in 2018: Candidate appearing in Class 12 or equivalent exam in 2018 from a recognised board and must secure minimum 50% marks. (45% marks for SC/ST) with English as one of the subjects.

Reservation of seats

The candidate can only apply online for the entrance test. Candidates can apply only for two programmes for a single academic year and they need to fill two applications for two programmes and pay for them separately.

Steps to Fill EFLU Application Form 2018

• Fill in the personal details like name, date of birth, mobile number, e-mail id.
• Give the choice for Test centre, programme, Choice of the subject and test centre.
• BA JMC is provided only in the EFLU Shillong campus. 

• Permanent Address Certificate: Also upload and attach your permanent address certificate.

• Review the entries carefully before clicking on submit button.

Keep these documents ready before applying online

• Recent passport photo of size: (3.5cm x 4.5 cm (max 50 KB) Type – JPG)
  • It should be 200 * 230 pixels (width * height)
• Signature (3.5 cm x 1.5 cm (max 20 KB) Type - JPG) of the candidate. The candidate has to sign on the white paper with black ink/ballpoint pen. 
  • It should be 140 * 60 pixels (width * height)
    
    

Payment of EFLU Application Fee

Online: Candidates can make their payment using net banking method.

Offline: Through Bank Challan

• Candidates can also make their payment via computer generated bank challan.
• Payment has to made at any of the SBI branches after one working day of filling the EFLU 2018 Application form.
• A confirmation SMS is sent to your mobile after completion of the application form.

After submitting the EFLU 2018 Application form online and making payment, the candidate has to send a hard copy of the application form to the following address. The Application Form must reach EFLU on the address given below:

Documents to be attached along with EFLU Application Form

Keep the following documents ready before you start filling the online application form.

• Passport Photo: A passport size photo affixed on the space provided.
• University copy of Challan (Applicable for Challan payment).
• Academic Qualification Certificates: Attested copies of the academic qualification certificates according to the eligibility specified for the course.
• Caste Certificate: Attested copies of the latest relevant certificate in respect of  SC/ST/OBC/PWD/WDP candidates
• For Backward District candidates: Attested copies of (a) Proof of Residence & Study Certificate up to +2 level for Backward District candidates in the case of candidates applying for BA programmes. 

EFLU Exam Admit Card 2018

EFLU Admit Card for appearing in the EFLU admission entrance exam will be available for download after the student has successfully filled in the application form and made the necessary application fee payment. The admit cards will be available in online mode only from 16 February 2018 onwards. No, admit card would be sent by post.

EFLU 2018 Results will be announced in March 2018. In Case of Bachelors of Mass Communication, the candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview and the final selection will be based on the combined result of the Entrance Test & Interview.  

Documents to be submitted at the time of EFLU Admission

• Academic Certificates
  • Photocopy of Class 12 or equivalent pass certificate.
  • Migration/Character certificate from the previous Institution.
  • Photocopy of Mark sheets of the qualifying exam.
• A copy of Caste/Tribe/OBC/PH certificates and certificates for other reserved categories under GOI rules.
• ID & Address Proof: Photocopy of Aadhar/Ration/ Voter ID card of the parent/guardian. 

The question paper consists of four sections: General awareness, Media awareness, Information and Communication Technologies, and Language Comprehension.

Candidates, who get admitted to UG courses at EFLU, can avail Top Rank-holders Scholarships if they fulfil the eligibility criteria.Students will get an annual scholarship of Rs 25,000 provided they maintain the required attendance and secure 60% marks per semester.

EFLU provides the following Scholarship for the Undergraduate Students:

• Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship: Rs 2000 per month for 20 months The attendance requirements being met and progress in studies being satisfactory and consistent.
• Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students
• Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities
• Social Welfare Scholarships given by State by State Governments (SC/ST/OBC/Minorities)

Benefits/Allowances for EBCs and Differently abled students:

Economically Backward students (EBCs)

• Monthly & Book Allowance: Students belonging to this category will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1000 for paying mess charges and annual book allowance of Rs 1000
• Hostel Fees Waiver: They are not required to pay for hostel accommodation.

Differently Abled Students

• Physically challenged students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1000 for payment of mess fees and an annual book allowance of Rs. 1000.
• Visually challenged students will get reader allowance of Rs 1500 on a monthly basis, stationary allowance and guide allowance per year of Rs. 500 each.

They are exempted from payment of any other fees except registration fee, ID card fee, grade card fee, hostel fee and medical fee.

 The English and Foreign Languages University (or EFLU), formerly the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL) is a Central University in India. Its main campus is located in Hyderabad.
