EFLU Admission 2018 in B.A. English (Honours)

EFLU Admission 2018 in B.A (H) English, B.A (H) Foreign Language and BJMC and other courses will be based on EFLU Entrance Exam to be conducted on 25-26 February 2018. The English & Foreign  Language University (EFLU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament and is located in Hyderabad. This year the EFLU admission test will be conducted in Computer-based test as well as pen and Paper based test but the BA (H) Exam, B.A (H) Foreign Language & BJMC will be conducted only in Computer-based mode.    

EFLU offers admission to undergraduate language courses, postgraduate and PhD courses and conducts entrance exam for admission to various courses. The Entrance Test is for admission into the Hyderabad, Lucknow and Shillong Campus of EFLU.

• Passed Class 12 or equivalent: Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks. (45% marks for SC/ST) with English as one of the subjects.
• Appearing in Class 12 or Equivalent in 2018: Candidate appearing in Class 12 or equivalent exam in 2018 from a recognised board and must secure minimum 50% marks. (45% marks for SC/ST) with English as one of the subjects.

Reservation of seats

Students can apply for EFLU Entrance Exam 2018 only through ONLINE Mode. In order to apply for EFLU Entrance exam 2018, candidates are required to read the information booklet and important instructions carefully before applying. The last date to apply is 7 February 2018. 

EFLU Application Fees

• For General/ OBC/ WDP- Rs.500
• For SC/ST/PWD - Rs. 250

EFLU Online Application Form 

Candidates can apply for maximum two programmes in one academic year.If the candidate wishes to apply for two academic programs under EFLU then two separate applications forms need to be filled and separate application fee has to be paid.

• Fill in the requisite personal and academic details carefully.
• Choose Exam Centre: You can choose the campus of your choice and test centre from the separate drop down menu’s given in the application registration form.Candidates can choose from among the 23 EFLU Entrance exam centres.

Documents to be uploaded with EFLU Online Application Form

• Scanned passport size photo
• Scanned signature
• Scanned Copy of Aadhar Card
• Scanned copy of PWD certificate (in case of Persons with Disability)
• Scanned copy of WDP certificate (in case of Wards of Defence Personnel)
• Scanned copy of certificate of teaching/research experience (in Case of Part time PhD Programme)
• Scanned copy of caste certificate (in case of applications under SC/ST/OBC quota) in GOI Format.

Payment of Application Fees: Candidates can make payment for EFLU Application form by the following methods Candidates can make their payment using net banking method. Once the application form is submitted, candidates will receive a confirmation SMS.

Application Form for Foreign Nationals

Students who are foreign nationals can apply by filling up a separate application form.

EFLU Exam Admit Card 2018

EFLU Admit Card for appearing in the EFLU admission entrance exam will be available for download after the student has successfully filled in the application form and made the necessary application fee payment. The admit cards will be available in online mode only from 16 February 2018 onwards. No admit card would be sent by post.

In Case of Foreign Language Course - BA Hons Spanish, Russian, Arabic, French, German, the candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview and the final selection will be based on the combined result of the Entrance Test & Interview.

EFLU 2018 Results 

Documents to be submitted at the time of EFLU Admission

• Academic Certificates
  • Photocopy of Class 12 or equivalent pass certificate.
  • Migration/Character certificate from the previous Institution.
  • Photocopy of Mark sheets of the qualifying exam.
• A copy of Caste/Tribe/OBC/PH certificates and certificates for other reserved categories under GOI rules.
• ID & Address Proof: Photocopy of Aadhar/Ration/ Voter ID card of the parent/guardian.

• The question paper will be in multiple choice question format.
• The duration of exam is 2 hours.
• The exam pattern varies from course to course.
• It will be a computer-based Test.

The question paper consists of four sections: General awareness, Media awareness, Information and Communication Technologies, and Language Comprehension.

On the Day of Examination

• Get the admit card for marking answers on OMR Sheet
• Carry black or blue ballpoint/ sketch pen

EFLU Scholarship

Candidates, who get admitted to UG courses at EFLU, can avail Top Rank-holders Scholarships if they fulfil the eligibility criteria.Students will get an annual scholarship of Rs 25,000 provided they maintain the required attendance and secure 60% marks per semester.

EFLU provides the following Scholarship for the Undergraduate Students:

• Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship: Rs 2000 per month for 20 months The attendance requirements being met and progress in studies being satisfactory and consistent.
• Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students
• Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities
• Social Welfare Scholarships given by State by State Governments (SC/ST/OBC/Minorities)

Benefits/Allowances for EBCs and Differently abled students:

Economically Backward students (EBCs)

• Monthly & Book Allowance: Students belonging to this category will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1000 for paying mess charges and annual book allowance of Rs 1000
• Hostel Fees Waiver: They are not required to pay for hostel accommodation.

Differently Abled Students

• Physically challenged students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1000 for payment of mess fees and an annual book allowance of Rs. 1000.
• Visually challenged students will get reader allowance of Rs 1500 on a monthly basis, stationary allowance and guide allowance per year of Rs. 500 each.

They are exempted from payment of any other fees except registration fee, ID card fee, grade card fee, hostel fee and medical fee.

BJMC at The English and Foreign Language University

 The English and Foreign Languages University (or EFLU), formerly the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL) is a Central University in India. Its main campus is located in Hyderabad. It also operates campuses at Lucknow and Shillong. In the month of March 2013 EFLU has launched its fourth campus at  Malappuram  in  Kerala state.
