TMISAT 2018 is an entrance exam for admission in B.Tech. Marine Engineering and B.Sc. Nautical Science courses in Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI) Induri. TMISAT application form for the year 2018 is available from 6 January 2018 and can be submitted until 31 May 2018. Candidates can apply for TMISAT 2018 here or on the official website of TMISAT. Qualifying in IMU CET is compulsory for admission to Tolani Maritime Institute. The candidates seeking admission in TMI Induri will also have to appear in IMU CET 2018. Previously the admissions to UG programmes of the TMI were done either through TMI SAT or BITSAT but from the year 2017, the candidates have to appear both in TMISAT and IMU CET mandatorily. IMU CET is conducted by Indian Maritime University and will be held on 2 June 2018. The last date to apply for IMU CET is 11 May 2018.

About Tolani Maritime Institute
Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI) provides a training ground for Marine Engineers and Nautical Officers. The course will commence in July for B.Tech. Marine Engineering and B.Sc. Nautical Science offered by TMI and is approved by Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India and Maritime Port Authority of Singapore

Tolani Maritime Institute Eligibility criteria
Academic Qualification: The candidates must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent with:
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- 50% marks in English either in Class 10 or Class 12.
Marital Status: Only Unmarried candidates would be considered for admission.
Gender: TMI encourages the participation of both genders without discrimination.
Age
- Male candidates born on or after 1st September 1997 are eligible to apply for the 2018 batch.
- Female Candidates: 2 year age relaxation for female candidates and girls. So girls born on or after 1st September 1995 are eligible to apply for the 2018 batch.
Medical Fitness: The Institute has laid down minimum Physical Standards and minimum Medical Standards. The candidate has to meet these standards to qualify for admission.

Tolani Maritime Institute Application form and Admit Card
The candidates can apply for TMI SAT 2018 ONLY online. There is NO offline procedure to fill the TMI SAT 2018 Application Form. Candidates have to apply through online mode only by visiting the official website. The application fees can be paid either Online or through Demand Draft. Application Submission
The desired candidates can apply for TMI SAT only through online mode. After filling the online application form, the candidates have to take print out of the duly filled application form and the summary generated. Demand Draft or Pay order has to be drawn in favour of "Tolani Maritime Institute", payable at Pune. Candidates are required to follow the link given above to get the complete guidance on filling the TMISAT application form
TMISAT Admit Card 2018
The admit card will be uploaded by the Tolani Maritime Institute on the official website only for those eligible candidates who have submitted their duly filled application forms before the due date. Candidates are advised to check the details like name of the students, exam centre, exam dates etc. on the printed admit card.
Generally, the admit card get available to the candidate one week prior the exam. So the candidates are suggested to keep yourself updated on this page so when the admit card will be available, the candidates will be able to download the same from here.
Tolani Maritime Institute Fees
The candidates are required to pay an application fee amounting to Rs 1200 for the TMI SAT. The TMI Induri Fee Structure for the B.Tech Nautical and B.Tech Marine Engineering are given below separately.

Tolani Maritime Institute Result and Counselling
TMI SAT selection process is divided into three stages. Each and every stage is described below. The candidates are required to get the details of each and every stage so that they would be prepared for the process.
For all eligible applications received by 25 April 2018:
The online test and interview will be conducted in the first half of May 2018 at different centres given below. Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks in PCM, online test, IMU test rank and interview. The selection is also subject to medical fitness as per DGS norms.
For applications received between 26 April and 31 May 2018:
Applicants shortlisted on the basis of their PCM marks and IMUCET rank will be called to TMI campus in June 2018 for online test. Candidates will be shortlisted based on performance in above-mentioned tests and medical fitness as per DGS norms.
Stage 1: Online Test
- The candidate has to appear in both IMU CET and TMISAT 2018 for selection.
- The shortlisted candidates would be called to TMI campus in June 2018 for the online test.
- Marks scored in the test are seen immediately on the screen after completing the test
Stage 2: Interview
- Normally, interviews are conducted on the same day as that of TMISAT and at the centre itself.
- Applicants are interviewed by a panel of educators and maritime professionals to assess the applicants' communication skills, leadership potential, clarity of thought, maturity and reasoning abilities.
- The panel also looks for any extracurricular achievements of the candidate.
- The following characteristics will be given importance for the selection as Merchant Mariner.

Stage 3: Medical Examination
Medical practitioners appointed by the Institute will examine all selected candidates for certifying conformation with the medical requirements laid down by the Institute.

- No of Questions: 80
- Duration of test: 1.5 hours
- Negative Marking: There is a section with negative marking in Physics and Maths. In other subjects, there are no negative marks.

More about TMI SAT Exam Pattern
- The test is designed to evaluate candidates' problem-solving skills, reasoning skills, language skills, general knowledge, subject knowledge, aptitude and personality traits.
- The test is based on Class 11 and 12 CBSE standard Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus plus English grammar, vocabulary and Logical & Analytical Reasoning.
- This is the online multiple choice objective type test conducted in April and June but the candidate can appear only once in a year. This test is conducted in 12 centres across India.

TMISAT 2018 Test Centres
TMI SAT 2018 is a Computer-based entrance exam for the students seeking admission to B.Tech. Marine Engineering and B.Sc. Nautical Science courses at Tolani Maritime University. TMI SAT 2018 will be conducted in the first week of May 2018 throughout India.
