WBJEE 2019

WBJEE 2019 is a common entrance exam for admission to Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self-financed Institutes of West Bengal into Undergraduate courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture. Registration for Mop-up round of Counselling for WBJEE 2019 has started online. WBJEE 2019 is conducted for admission to various Universities/ Colleges/ Self-financing technical institutes in West Bengal for a degree in Engineering, Architecture & Pharmacy and Architecture. WBJEE 2019 will be conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB).

There is no residential certificate of West Bengal required for appearing in the exam although the WB domicile candidates will be given preference for admission in the Government colleges. The application form has to be filled online and there is no offline application process. Candidates applying for the WBJEE 2019 will be eligible for the admissions to the following courses listed below:

WBJEE Application Form 2019

WBJEE 2019 Application Form is now available and can be filled by candidates until 19 January 2019. Therefore, the candidates must fill the form correctly and submit the same on or before the due date. The link to fill the form is given below. Along with the application link, the guidelines to fill the form is also available on this page.

Guidelines to fill the WBJEE 2019 Application Form

• After registration, the candidates will be able to fill the application form by providing personal details, educational details, communication details, etc.
• During form filling, the applicant is also required to choose a PASSWORD and a security question and answer.

• The candidate will need the above Application No. and Password for all subsequent login. Candidates need to upload the relevant documents
• At last, candidates need to submit the application form by paying the application fee.

Please note that the candidate's name, father’s name, mother’s name, domicile and date of birth taken together must be unique for each application. Once an Application Number is generated and the password is chosen, the candidates may log out or continue to upload documents.

WBJEE 2019 Payment Options

The candidates can make the payment of the WBJEE application form by any of the two ways given below:

• Payment by Debit/Credit Card: The candidate has to select Debit / Credit Card option to pay the fee and follow the instruction to complete the payment process. 

• Payment by Allahabad Bank Challan: The candidate has to select Allahabad Bank Challan mode to deposit the fee. As soon as he/she selects the option, a challan will be generated. The candidate has to take it to any core banking service (CBS) facility enabled Branch of the Allahabad Bank for making payment

Submission of the Application Form

The candidates are advised to check the details of the duly filled application form before the final submission. Candidates are required to keep at least two photocopies of the application form for future reference. The candidates do not need to send any document to WBJEE office by post. WBJEE Admit Card 2019

WBJEE Admit Card 2019 will tentatively be available for download in April 2019on the official website. Admit cards will be generated on the notified date for the candidate to download and take a print. Candidates are advised to retain their admit cards carefully in secured place in undamaged condition in all respects till completion of admission procedure.

The candidate has to carry a printed hard copy of the admit card along with a photograph to the examination centre.  Otherwise, the entry of the candidates may be restricted at the exam centre.

Nationality: Candidate must be citizen of India

Age: Candidate must be 17 years as on 31 December 2019, and there is no upper limit on age for all the courses. There is no upper age limit. A candidate born on or after 1 Jan 2001 is not eligible for WBJEE Exam.

For Marine Engineering: The candidate must be at least 17 years and should not be more than 25 years as on 31 December 2019

WBJEE 2019 Domicile Eligibility

Candidates must be residing continuously in West Bengal for at least ten years. ( as on 30 December 2017). Candidates parents must be a permanent resident of West Bengal having a permanent address within the State of Bengal.

Domicile: Applicants will be required to have the West Bengal Domicile to apply for the admissions, however, Domicile will not be required for the given below courses. For these colleges/courses, students from outside West Bengal can also apply for the given below courses

For Self Financing Institutions - In these institutes 80-90% seats are reserved through WBJEE 2019, 10% on the basis of JEE Main 2019, and maximum 10% will be through Management Quota. The seats will be allotted through WBJEE e-counselling. There is no particular Residential/ Domicile requirement to appear in the WBJEE 2019 for admission in self-financed colleges.

WBJEE 2019 Academic Eligibility

• A candidate must pass Higher Secondary(10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognised Council\Board.
• Pass marks in any subject shall imply pass marks in theory and practical individually if specified by the concerned Council/Board. 
• For admission to all the courses given below the student should have scored minimum 30% marks in English in Class 12.

The application fee for the WBJEE 2019 is same for all the courses. However, the type has been divided into two sections. Thus, while paying the application fee, the candidates have to select the type of the course. 

The “WBJEE 2019” examination will comprise questions on three subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Based on courses offered, there will be 2 (two) categories of examinees as listed below

WBJEE 2019 Question Paper Pattern

In every subject, all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ-type, with four options against each of the question).

• Each question paper will contain 3 categories of questions.
• Exam pattern would be as follows:

WBJEE Marking Scheme

Category 1 Questions

• There will be only one correct answer.
• Each Correct answer will yield 1 mark each.
• Negative Marking: -1/4 of the marks will the for incorrect answer.
• For any combination of response with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -1/4 (25% negative marks) 

Category 2 Questions

• There will be only one correct answer.

• Each Correct answer will yield 2 marks each
• Negative Marking: -1/2 (25% negative marks).
• For any combination of response with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -1/2 (25% negative marks) 

Category 3 Questions

• More than one option may be correct and marking of all correct options only will yield two marks.
• Only all Correct response will yield 2 marks
• For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect responses, net mark awarded will be zero (0) and
• For partially correct response without any incorrect marking Marks awarded = 2 X (no of correct responses) / (total no of correct options)

Mode of Answering

• Questions must be answered on specially designed machine readable answer sheets (OMR Answer Sheet).
• Candidates are required to mark the answer using BLUE/BLACK BALL POINT PEN ONLY ON on the OMR Answer Sheet

Mock Test & Solved Papers for WBJEE Engineering Entrance

1) WBJEE: 8 Mock Tests & Solved Papers (2007 - 2013) 3rd Edition

Last year 1,55,472 students registered for WBJEE and out of that 1,39,640 students appeared for the entrance exam. So in all 1,17,267 students appeared for Engineering Entrance, 63330 students appeared for the medical exam and 1,39,640 for pharmacy and out of that 77,826, 4433, 99558 students were eligible for counselling of Engineering, Medical & Pharmacy respectively.

WBJEE 2019 Test Centres

WBJEE Result 2019

Within one week of the exam, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will release the WBJEE Answer Keys. The candidates will be able to check the answer keys and can analyse their scores. WBJEE Result 2019  to be declared in June 2019. The selection of the candidates will be done based on merit list and then the WBJEE counselling procedure will be held. The shortlisted candidates will be called to appear in counselling.

The detailed information regarding admission to the concerned Universities/ Colleges and allotment of seats therein shall be made available in due course. It should be noted that being Merit Listed does not make a candidate eligible for admission to any concerned University/ College. Necessary document in the regards is to be produced at the time of counselling.

WBJEE Counselling 2019

WBJEE Counselling 2019 for Engineering/ Architecture/ Pharmacy Courses will be started in the month of June 2019 (after the declaration of result). The candidates will be able to register for the counselling through online mode.
