AIEED 2018 - All India Entrance Examination for Design

AIEED - All India Entrance Examination for Design is conducted by ARCH Academy of Design Jaipur for admission to Undergraduate & Postgraduate programmes. The college is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan. Arch Academy of Design was founded in 2000 and located in Jaipur. AIEED 2018 entrance exam consists of two test, i.e., General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT). CAT exam will be conducted only for the selected students and can be taken at the centre of the academy or online in any of the exam centres.

Candidates who have Appeared for or Cleared Class Class 12 from CBSE /ICSE/ IB/ State Board/ NIOS or equivalent exam are eligible to write AIEED Exam.

• Only Class 12 Appearing or Cleared candidates are eligible for the UOR/ KSOU University degree component of the programme.
• Candidates applying for Undergraduate Interior Design program with a valid NATA score/ JEE Main Paper 2 rank are exempted from AIEED  and will be directly called for interview. They Need to Fill Application Form only.
• Class 10+1 candidates can also appear in AIEED Exam. Qualifying candidates will be eligible for direct admission in academic session 2018-19  after clearing the interview.

The application process for the AIEED has been started. The candidates who are looking forward to appearing in the AIEED Exam would be required to fill the application form on or before the due date. Candidates can use only online mode to fill the form. The multiple application from one candidate may get rejected. The candidates are suggested to fill the form by following the below link

Payment of AIEED Application Fee 2018

The candidates who are filling up the AIEED Application Form have an option to make the payment via any of the three modes mentioned below:

Online Payment: The candidates can make the payment for AIEED application form using:

• Debit Card
• Credit Card
• Net Banking

Demand Draft: Another method of paying the AIEED application fee is through Demand Draft mentioning the name and phone number at the back has to be drawn in favour of "Arch Educational Society" payable at Jaipur.

Submission of the Application Form

The candidates after filling up the application form have to submit the same in order to complete the application process. However, the candidates must examine that the information filled by them in the form is correct in all aspects. After submission, the candidates are suggested to keep at least two copies of the printed application form with them for future reference.

AIEED 2018 Admit Card

The Admit Card for the exam would be available online 7 Days before both the exams. The candidate will be sent a link to download the admit card. An Admit card is an important document to be carried at the exam centre. The admit card will be available only online (link via SMS) and will not be dispatched through the post, so no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

The candidates are suggested to carry an admit card along with them at the examination centre. Without an admit card, the candidates will not be able to appear in the exam.

AIEED Result 2018 is expected to be declared in the month of June 2018. The AIEED result will display the marks scored by the students as well as the rank. Once the result gets declared, the candidates can check the same by following the link given below. The final selection of the applicant will be considered based on the following parameters.The selection of candidate is strictly merit-based.

• Performance in past education field
• AIEED exam result ( NATA /CAT/ MAT  score in the respective courses)
• Performance in Interview + Portfolio.

AIEED Personal Interview

The candidates who qualify the AIEED Exam will be called for Personal Interview Round. The Interview will be held at ARCH Campus, Jaipur as and the exact time for the Interview will be mentioned in the call letter.

Documents to be carried at the time of AIEED Interview

The candidate needs to bring the attested copies of the following documents at the time of interview.

• Class 10 and 12 Mark sheets  (original & attested photocopy)
• 4 Passport size Photographs
• Transfer and Migration certificate
• SC/ST, Physically Challenged, NRI, Defense, Artisans should submit the proof for the same.
• Certificate of Medical Fitness 
• Portfolio: It is a collection of previous creative artwork done by the candidates, and it can be in the form of photographs, sketches, essays, prose and illustrations.

NOTE: The Institute will announce the Interview result on the same day after verifying all the documents 

• Duration is 3 hrs and 15 minutes.
• The question paper consists the combination of Creative Ability Test & General Ability Test (AIEED = CAT + GAT).
• To assess design sensitivity, problem-solving, creative skills logical reasoning & awareness on global issues is the testing parameters. T
• Total number of questions: 45 – 50 Questions
• Total Marks: 200
• You can write Exams in the Online format or the Offline format.
• Medium: Question papers are Bilingual – Hindi & English.
• The Offline Exam can be answered in either language. The Online Exam needs to be answered in English only 

The offline AIEED Centre Based exam will be conducted in following 13 cities across India. Candidates have to make a choice of any three exam centres in order of preference from the above list. One centre will be chosen and provided to the student.

Students applying for four years Undergraduate Interior Design program with a valid NATA score/ JEE Main rank are exempted from appearing in the AIEED exam and will be called for interview directly. 

AIEED Scholarship

The AIEED Scholarship will be given to the students on the basis of following criteria:

• AIEED result
• Performance in past qualification
• Interview + Portfolio
• Income of the family
• Ward of a single parent. 

The scholarship will be given to the candidates on a first come first served basis.
