RIMC result for the candidates who have appeared in the exam has been declared in the form of state-wise merit list. The interview/ viva-voce will be conducted in respective states for the students who have been selected as per the marks scored. Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun to release the result of the candidates who appeared in the exam on 12 and 13 September 2020. The result has been declared in the form of RIMC Merit List and will have names of candidates selected state-wise. The candidates are suggested to search for their name in the RIMC Merit List.

RIMC Written Test Passing Marks for Maths, English and GK
The passing marks for RIMC written test were released with the result and it is as follows

RIMC Selection Process After Result
The candidates will be offered Scholarships from their respective State Governments based on their performance in the RIMC admission test. Candidates get selected based on their performance in an All India Entrance Examination held twice a year. The successful candidates were called for Viva-Voce Test. A merit list was prepared, and those who qualify were sent for medical examinations. Those finally cleared were invited to join RIMC.
Candidates appearing for RIMC admission test have to go through 3 steps selection procedure considering the examination pattern.
RIMC Dehradun Admission (Stage 1: Written Test)
In the written Examination, there will be three papers, i.e. of English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The date of examination, schedule and the minimum percentage required to clear the exam is given in the table below.

RIMC Dehradun Admission (Stage 2: Viva Voce)
- Candidates on qualifying written test will receive an intimation regarding date & place of Interview by their respective state govt.
- The interview will be held a month after the selection list is released. During the interview, the intelligence and personality of the candidate will be tested.
- Minimum pass marks required in Interview is 50%.
RIMC Dehradun Admission (Stage 3: Medical Examination)
- Candidates selected after the viva-voce round will undergo a medical examination at selected Military Hospitals and only those candidates found medically fit will be eligible to take admission to Rashtriya Indian Military College.
- The medical examination of candidates for admission to the RIMC, Dehradun will be carried out by a medical board at Command / Military Hospital nearest to candidate's residence.
The Acceptable Visual Standard for RIMC admission
- Standard 1- 6/6 & 6/6
- Standard 2 Uncorrected - VA 6/18 & 6/18
- BCVA - 6/6 & 6/6
- Myopia <= 1.25D Sph including max. astigmatism <=+/- 0.5D Cylindrical
- Hypermetropia <= 1.25D Sph including max. astigmatism <=+/- 0.5D Cylindrical
- LASIK and Equivalent not permitted
- Colour Vision - CP II
- Fundus & Media - to be healthy with no changes of myopia. Visual fields to be full in each eye. Binocular Vision and stereopsis must be good
