ICAR Cut Off 2018: Marks, Counselling Date, Merit List, Result

ICAR Cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which must be obtained by aspirants to pass the AIEEA entrance test. Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will shortlist candidates on the basis of ICAR 2019 cut off. Only students securing the minimum qualifying ICAR cut off percentage will be considered qualified and eligible for the counselling process. General and UPS category candidates must secure the minimum of 50% cut off in order to qualify. While, that for SC/ST/PC categories, it is 40%. However, the competent authority, ICAR, may provide the relaxation in ICAR cut off marks, in case the required numbers of candidates to be called for counselling is not available.

Based on ICAR cut off, the authority will release the merit list of candidates for admission to 15% seats in all state agricultural universities. ICAR cut off 2019 scores will be used for admission to all deemed and central universities. ICAR 2019 cut off will be calculated on the basis of marking scheme set by the authority. Types of ICAR 2019 Cut off

 The cut off of ICAR 2019 can be divided into three types as given below: 

1. ICAR Eligibility Cut off – The eligibility cut off of ICAR 2019 is the minimum scores that candidate need to secure in their qualifying examination to be eligible to appear for ICAR AIEEA examination. As per the ICAR eligibility criteria, General, OBC-NCL and UPS, EWS candidates who have passed 10+2 from CBSE or equivalent examination must have secured at least 50% in aggregate. While SC/ST/Pwd and Transgender the minimum eligibility cut off will be 40% in aggregate
2. ICAR Qualifying Cut off – As mentioned above, to qualify the entrance examination, general and UPS aspirants must have secured at least 50%, while that for SC/ST/PC students, it is 40%. Candidates securing more than or equal to the minimum qualifying ICAR cut off marks will be included in the merit list.
3. ICAR Admission Cut off – Admission to State Agricultural, Deemed and Central Universities, will be done on the basis of scores and merit rank. After the conclusion of the admission process, the opening and closing rank will be available. The opening and closing rank signifies institute-wise rank of each branch at which admission opened and closed. This is commonly known as ICAR admission cut off. According to the official notification, ICAR re-exam will be conducted in online mode on a single day. Question: How many marks should I score in ICAR AIEEA examination to get good college?

Answer: As ICAR only displays the rank, not the scores, thus no one can precisely say the marks to be secured. However, it depends on ICAR cut off, which is derived based on the difficulty level of question paper, number of candidates appearing for exam and seats available. But as mentioned in this article, a general category aspirant must secure at least 50% and SC/ST/PC candidates must obtain 40% in ICAR AIEEA examination.

Question: What is the ICAR cut off and scores to be obtained for admission to BHU college?

Answer: As per the table above, ICAR cut off of the general category in Banaras Hindu University was 346. To secure this rank, the aspirant has obtained 512 scores in ICAR examination. Likewise, BHU ICAR cut off 2016 for general category was 148 and the scores was 490.
