HPTU Admission 2020

HPTU Admissions 2020 is invited based on HPCET for the undergraduate as well as the postgraduate courses in Himachal Pradesh Technical University. Entrance examination (HPCET-2020) for each course shall be conducted in single offline (pen and paper-based test) mode. About HPTU

Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, was established by Government of Himachal Pradesh under the State Legislative Act-16 of 2010. HPCET Exam is conducted for the admission to B.Tech./B.Pharmacy/B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda), M.Tech, Information Brochure HPCET- 2020 Page 2 M.Pharmacy, MCA and MBA Programmes.

HPTU Admission Eligibility Criteria

The academic qualification required for the courses offered by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University is different. Therefore, the academic eligibility required for each course is given below.

B.Tech:

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination from any recognised Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology
• The candidates must have secured at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

B.Pharm (Ayurveda):

• The candidates should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognised Board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.
• The candidates must have secured least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

MBA:

• The candidates who have passed bachelor's degree from the recognised university with a minimum of three years duration.
• The candidates should have secured at least 50% marks (45% for the reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

MCA:

• The candidates applying for the MCA programme should have passed the bachelor's degree or equivalent from the recognised university with a minimum of three years of duration.
• The candidates should have Mathematics at Class 12 and secured minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying exam.

Application Form for HPTU Admission 2020

The HPCET Application Process for the admission in HPTU has been started and the candidates can fill the application form online. The candidates are advised to follow the steps below to fill the application form.

• STEP 1 (Registration): Candidate has to Register on the official website of HPCET.
• STEP 2 (Fill Application Form): Candidate needs to fill in the basic details to fill the application form.
• STEP 3 (Upload Photograph and Signature): The candidates need to upload the photograph and signature in this section.
• STEP 4 (Payment & Confirmation): At last the candidates need to make the payment and have to download the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference.

HPTU Admission 2020 - HPCET Admit Card

 Admit Card is available on the official website only for those eligible candidates who have submitted their duly filled application forms before the due date. The admit card will not be sent to the candidates by post.

Candidates are advised to check the details like name of the students, exam centre, exam dates etc. on the printed admit card. An admit card is an important document to be brought to the examination centre.
