Delhi School of Journalism by Delhi University has started for the academic year 2018-19 offering a five-year integrated course in Journalism with an exit option after 3 years and the students will be offered an undergraduate degree in Journalism. The course will offer 30 seats at the undergraduate level and admissions to the course will be through cut-offs and marks of the students in their qualifying exam. In this five years integrated programme, the candidates will have an option to exit the course after three years and they will be awarded a Degree in Bachelor of Journalism. The admission in this course is done based on entrance exam. After the exam is conducted, the rank list for the same will be uploaded online. Delhi University Journalism Admission 2018 - 5 Years Integrated Journalism course
Savita Datta, Chairperson of the Committee on structure and syllabus for the five-year integrated Journalism programme told that students will be taught discipline-specific and elective courses. There will be a paper on data and investigative journalism along with papers on media and psychology, media and history, editing, writing, and documentary making. Along with this, students will also study two compulsory languages, of which one will be a foreign language (Options Available: Arabic, Chinese, Spanish and French) and other will be a regional language (Options Available: Tamil and Bengali).
DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2018
Students will be given an opt-out option in which students will be able to opt out of the course after three years and will get a graduate degree in Journalism. The initial plan was to take admissions through entrance exam but since it’s too late to conduct entrance exam hence the governing body of the school decided to go with cut-offs. However, if the governing body decides, then it can go for admissions through entrance exam next year.

Currently, there are six colleges in Delhi University apart from Delhi School of Journalism that offer a degree in Journalism. The colleges are Lady Sri Ram College for Women, Kalindi College, Kamla Nehru College, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce and Maharaja Agrasen College, and The Institute of Home Economics. The BA Journalism (Hons) course was started by the University of Delhi in 1989. The course was first offered by Delhi College of Arts and Commerce.
It is a three-year course and the syllabus of the course is designed to equip the student with an intellectual and interdisciplinary approach that prepares them for the field. The learning process aims to strike a balance between the theoretical and practical approach to the field and enable the students to create, a foyer in the market of contention. Despite its short history, the course is one of the most sought-after courses offered by Delhi University. The course has received more than 45,000 applications for admission this year. The course is offered in two languages i.e. Hindi and English
DU Journalism Question Paper and Answer Key 2018 NEW
Delhi University conducted the exam for admission in a five-year integrated course in Journalism on 22 June 2018. All the candidates who appeared in the exam can now check the solved question paper by following the link below. With the help of that, the candidates will be able to analyse their performance in the exam. Delhi University has also given the option to the candidates to raise an objection against the released answer key if they think that any of the answers are not correct. For raising any Objection, the candidate has to login through ‘Objection Tracker’ only.

Eligibility for the BA Journalism Course
- BA Hindi Patrakarita (Hons): An aggregate of 45% marks and must have passed the Hindi language in qualifying examination. Applicants securing 40% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the Hindi language are also eligible for admission.
- BA Journalism (Hons.): An aggregate of 45% marks and must have passed the English language in qualifying examination.
