IIFM Bhopal PGDM Admission 2018

IIFM Bhopal PGDM Admission 2018 has been started for the PGDM course in Forestry Management also known as PGDFM which is equivalent to MBA. PGDFM that is Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management is a two years residential course offered by the Indian Institute of Foreign Management IIFM Bhopal.IIFM Bhopal offers 2 years PGDFM (Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management) and IIFM Bhopal PGDFM Admission 2018 is based on the two qualifying exams i.e.

• CAT (Common Admission Test)
• XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test)

IIFM Bhopal was established in 1982 as an Autonomous public Institute which aims to fulfil the growing need for the managerial human resource in Forest, Environment, and Natural resource management and in the allied sector. There are total 120 seats are available for PGDFM course.

IIFM Bhopal PGDFM Admissions 2018 Dates

The filled in application forms of the candidates for the admission to 2018-20 session in PGDFM course must reach the IIFM Bhopal on or before the due dates given below.

About PGDFM Course

It is a 2 years residential course spread across 6 terms, one summer internship after the 3rd Term and two field trips to get the knowledge and exposure at the ground level.

In the fourth term, the candidate has to choose one major specialisation out of the three. It is compulsory to choose the major specialisation.

• Environmental Management
• Development Management

Age: There is no any age limit for the admissions to PGDFM program.

Nationality: The student should be an Indian Citizen. Foreign/NRI candidates are not eligible to apply for the program.

Qualifying Exam

IIFM Bhopal PGDM Admission 2018 will be conducted on the basis of the scores of any of the two qualifying exams. Applicants must have valid details of any one of the qualifying exam listed below at the time of the admissions.

• CAT 2017
• XAT 2018

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have passed in graduation or equivalent courses of minimum 3 years of duration from the university/institute which is recognised by Ministry of HRD. General category applicant should have secured minimum 50% marks and other reserved category candidates should have secured at least 45% marks in their graduation.

• Final Year Students: Candidate, who is in their final year of Graduation, can also apply for PGDFM in IIFM Bhopal. Candidates, who are waiting for their final result, can also apply. Provisional admissions would be provided to those students and their admissions will be considered final after they provide the proof of their graduation completion latest by 30 June 2018.

IIFM Bhopal PGDM Admission 2018 Applications will be made in "online" as well as "offline" mode, applicants can to fill and submit the application form by following the link given below or they can get the IIFM Bhopal Application Forms personally or by sending the demand draft of application fee. The last date to fill the form is 10 February 2017 for the candidates applying through CAT scores and 20 February 2017 for the candidates applying through XAT scores.

Steps to apply online for IIFM Bhopal PGDM Admission 2018

STEP 1:  After following the link given above applicants will b redirected to the application form directly. where they have to enter their personal details in required columns.

STEP 2: Applicants have to enter their postal and address details carefully. The address in the application form must match with the same address as mentioned in the identity proof.

STEP 3: Now applicants are required to enter their educational qualification in the required columns, it is advised to enter your educational details carefully as they will be cross-checked at the later stages of admission and any ambiguity can lead to the termination of admission.

STEP 4: Work Experience of the candidate (if applicable) is to be entered in the columns as prescribed in the application form.

STEP 5: Applicants have to upload their digital copy of the original documents in the format and size described below in the table.

Submission of the Application Form

Online Submission: Applicants those who have applied online and filled the online application form have to take the printout of the final confirmation page after the successful payment of the application form. Their application will be submitted successfully after that.

The Indian Institute of Forest Management fee can be paid in two instalments. Some waiver is also provided to the SC and ST candidates who are admitted in IIFM Bhopal.

• Shortlisting based on XAT/CAT Score: The Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their CAT or XAT score. IIFM Bhopal does not conduct its own exam and hence take admission based on CAT and XAT score.
• GD and PI: Group discussion and Interview are an important part of selection process for PGDFM at IIFM Bhopal. The selected candidate will be called for Group discussion and Interview at the following centres based on their choice, as mentioned in the Application Form. However, IIFM reserves all the rights on the allotment of choice of Centre to the candidates.

IIFM provides many scholarship schemes to all category students just to encourage their excellence and creates & maintain a competitive spirit among students, to encourage them to progressively perform well in each term.  After the first term results declaration, the Institute prepare a merit list of eligible students based on the recommendation of the PFM Committee.
