KVPY Result 2021 - Download Selection List, Check Cut off, Marks

KVPY Result 2021 for the exam held on 31 January 2021 has been declared on 16 March 2021. The result for KVPY is for the written aptitude test and this year the selection is directly based on the aptitude test and no interview would be conducted. The KVPY result for the aptitude test would be the criteria for selection of students for the KVPY Fellowship.

The students who clear the KVPY Aptitude Test will get the scholarship from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

The result of the KVPY Written Exam has been declared on 16 March 2021. The candidates can check the KVPY Result by following the link given below. This year there will be no interviews. This is the KVPY Result for the written test and the candidates who are selected and eligible for the KVPY Fellowship

How to check your KVPY Result?

• KVPY Results will be available for all the streams and categories.
• KVPY Result comprises a list of students who qualify the KVPY Scholarship
• KVPY Results feature name wise list would be published according to the KVPY Roll Numbers, and students can accordingly check the details.

What to do after the KVPY Final Merit List 

For SA Stream: Candidates whose name appears in the SA Stream will be required to take admission to any of the courses listed below. The scholarship for such candidates will commence from August 2021 after their successful admission to the undergraduate full-time Basic Science courses listed below.

 For SX/SB Streams: The candidates whose name appears in the SX/SB Stream will avail the scholarship from August only if they opt the listed courses for their graduation. Candidates of SX/SB Stream will have to contact the KVPY office on or before the due date about their successful admission in the UG courses after which KVPY office will forward the required forms for the commencement of the fellowship.

How to know KVPY Marks 

The merit list of KVPY only display the result of the students who have been selected for the fellowship, but the candidates who have not been selected for the fellowship can also check their marks from the KVPY website from April by logging in with the application number and date of birth. IISc Bangalore will release the link to check the marks for the KVPY Final Test.

KVPY Scholarship Amount 

2. KVPY Summer Program: The selected candidates of KVPY are offered a golden chance to be a part of the Summer Program which is conducted for a week at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) - Kolkata, Pune, Mohali, Bhopal, and Trivandrum.
3. Other Privileges to KVPY Fellows: The selected candidates of KVPY  have free access to National Laboratories/ Universities who have agreed to extend special privileges to a library, laboratory facilities, etc. to KVPY. The candidates are given the entry only if they produce the ID card issued.

KVPY Fellowships Renewal

KVPY Fellowship is renewed every year subject to the academic performance of the candidates (60%) in addition to participation and satisfactory performance in the Summer Camp in the first year and summer project every year.

KVPY fellowship for the students selected under the stream SA/SX/SB will be started after the Class 12 / (10+2) / 1st year UG, ONLY if they pursue an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences.

For SA fellows, the fellowship will be effective from August 1 of the year of selection only if they pursue an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in), mentioned below.

For SX fellows, the fellowship will be effective from August 1 of the year of selection only if  they pursue an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in), mentioned below

KVPY Result Previous Years

Total 4068 candidates have been selected in 2019 for the interview round and around 1 lac students appeared for the KVPY test.

However, the final result of the meritorious students who are now eligible to avail the KVPY Scholarships will be released after the interviews of shortlisted candidates in April 2020. Students have to calculate their marks based on the KVPY Final Answer Keys. The marks secured by Individual candidates are not given in the merit list. The marks will be released in April 2020. So if you want to calculate your KVPY score, then you will have to do that manually.

Applicants who have been shortlisted for the KVPY Scholarships have to appear in the interview to be scheduled from January to February 2020. To appear in the interview candidates are required to have their Interview Call letters. Applicants have to enter their user id and password to download the call letters in the window below. The Interview will be held in  Allahabad, Delhi,  Jaipur, Kolkata, Mohali, Bhopal, Mumbai, Pune, Trivandrum, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar

• 97467 students were shortlisted to appear in KVPY Exam and out of that 3281 students (3.4%) of the students were shortlisted for the interview round.
• Out of 3281 students who appeared in the Interview, 2531 (77%) students have been selected for the award of KVPY fellowship.

KVPY Result Analysis 2014-15

• Around 90 thousand students were shortlisted to appear in KVPY Exam and out of that 3390 students were shortlisted for the interview round.
• Out of 3390 students who appeared in the Interview, 2421 (71.4%) students have been selected for the award of KVPY fellowship.

KYPY Exam is administered by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore to identify school & college students with talent and aptitude for research to pursue a career in research in the areas of basic sciences, engineering and medicine. Further, the eligible candidates will be given direct admission to prestigious science research institutes in India.
